Conditions
With naturopathic medicine, all aspects of the patient are taken into consideration in developing a treatment plan, not a single symptom or piece of the puzzle. It is common for seemingly unrelated concerns to be connected. Addressing the underlying cause often facilitates healing and improvements in multiple areas. Dr. Stiles believes that health includes physical as well as mental, emotional and spiritual components, and together, these areas weave an intricate pattern that make up the whole person.
Dr. Yvonne has a special interest in digestive health including the microbiome and its role in many aspects of physical and mental wellbeing. She is passionate about how events and circumstances shape our physiology (including trauma), the HPA (hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal) axis, the vagus nerve and polyvagal theory, mitochondrial function, intentionality and what shapes our perspectives.
