I aim to both promote and live a healthy lifestyle. I have volunteered as an instructor and speaker at the Kingsway, Port Credit, and Square One Running Rooms. I also lecture for various community and corporate organizations and was the onsite naturopathic doctor at Diageo Canada. I have taught anatomy and physiology at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.
I’m passionate about growth, exploring and healing. Driven by my own experiences, and those of my patients I’ve worked with various practitioners and mentors and have been drawn to many courses and webinars. Areas of study have included hormonal health, digestion and the microbiome, mitochondrial function, fascia, primitive reflexes and movement patterns, HPA axis/adrenal health, circadian biology, neuroplasticity, nervous system regulation, and polyvagal theory-based work. I’m fascinated by the brilliance of the interconnected body and mind systems, as well as the evolving adaptations that occur.
Some of my more extensive trainings include a master’s level in NLP with Jan MacQuarrie, and mentoring with Irene Lyon in somatic and nervous system training including SBSM and Scientuitive Practitioner Level 1 (based in foundations of Feldenkrais, Somatic Experiencing (Peter Levine), Kathy Kain and Steven Terrell’s work). I’m continually learning through my own experiences and those I’m privileged to witness in my patients.
I am a mother of two boys who are my biggest teachers.
